We feel that using the best quality products ensures the best product- and that's what sets us above the others in our industry. Our families, and our friends use these products everyday- we wouldn't send anything to your family that was anything less than perfect. Olive oil & goats milk are the base in most of our products, and if you have specific allergies to be cautious of, we disclose ALL ingredients to be sure you can purchase a product that will be safe. Soapmaking is both an art form and a science. 🧼

You have to understand what your oils will do for the skin, how they’ll react to heat, and how every ingredient will behave. Colorants, clays, mica, herbs—they all have their own personalities.

Even the moisture in the air can play a part.

And sometimes, a soap you’ve made 100 times will suddenly decide it wants to do something completely different. 😂

That’s where experience comes in.

Understanding how your ingredients and your environment will respond gives you the freedom to be creative, experiment, and turn a bar of soap into something that is not only beautiful, but thoughtfully crafted.

The science gives you the knowledge. The art gives you the freedom to create.

I am so grateful to be making and cutting soap in our new space!

The “orange room” as we have dubbed it, is the cutting a curing room. When we bought the building it was a terrible caution tape orange. But the name stuck, so I painted it the pretty sorbet orange that you see.

The racks are filling up for the holidays but we have a long way to go yet. Lots of making to do!

Lots of prep for this weekend!

Salida Fiber Festival starts today! Saturday 12th 9-5pm Sunday 10-5pm Riverside Park in Salida Co.

The park is beautiful. The vendors are amazing. Food, demos, silent auction…so much fun!

Yesterday, we made a little bit of history. ❤️🐐

The very first Golden Guernsey Heritage ML Rathbun Rueanamone was shown at the Colorado State Fair!

She was shown by a Park County 4-H youth in the youth class and in showmanship.

Today I showed her in AOP. She was 2nd in her class of 3 year olds in both rings.

She is just one of our beautiful does that produce the milk we use in our skincare.

Thank you kiddo for showing her and helping me show all the JR does too!

Almost 4 years ago, Megan joined my team. Somewhere a long the way, she became my right-hand woman, the glitter glue that somehow held everything together.

If you’ve been in the shop, you’ve probably met her. Received a package from us? There’s a very good chance Megan packed it. If something was organized, labeled, or magically found… yep, probably Megan.

Now it’s time for Megan to start her next adventure. She’s moving to be closer to her children, and while we’re definitely going to miss having her around, we’re excited for what’s ahead for her.

Thank you, Megan, for almost four years of laughs and memories.

We wish you all the best in your new adventure, lots of laughs, and plenty of new memories.

And if you see Megan around town, give her a hug and wish her luck. Just don’t ask her to pack your package…she’s officially off the clock!
