Always something fun going on with our friends at Aesop's Treasury !

OOOoooooooOOOH YEAH! We've received a Too Tall Paul Double Stack of Armageddon!
We have 6 copies that aren't spoken for, so now is your last chance to get in on Games Workshop's 11th Edition Release Box. Release date for these bad boys is June 20th, so we'll be doing an 10th Edition Last Hurrah Apocalypse Game from 6pm-Midnight, Friday June 19th.

Happen Wednesday Spinsters! For those that have been following the story thus far, concerning our grant initiative:

Drew Calahan was blessed with the opportunity to present the 1st Annual Troy L. Marler Memorial Grant, in the amount of $1,000 to Class of 2026 North County graduate, Cole Ragsdale! His mother, Shannon and the person whom nominated Cole, Ashley Douglas were both on hand for the presentation.

The grant is funded by donations of cards to the shop, that we use with additional shop stock to create brown paper "lunch sacks" of cards. 💯 of the sales of those bags go towards this annual grant. Those wishing to donate cards for the program may do so anytime the shop is open.

Cole has BIG plans, including one day owning his own business! We believe he will get there. We are proud and honored to be able to be a small part of his journey, in honor of one of The Pack Rack OGs, Troy, "Lance" Marler.

Reminder the shop tables are available today for Open Trade Day & Pack Wars!

Pack wars option not available today, unless Harlley Davidson wishes to honor it. See yesterday's post for more details! The countdown is on towards our first set of ACTUAL prerelease events for , pitch black, and Vendetta!

We know the player and card community as a whole has a plethora of options in the area, and we are truly thankful for those that choose to support us. As a measure of friendly competition and to also offer varied options, we try our best to choose the planning of our events to NOT overlap with other shops offering the same. I.E., we will never do Friday Night Magic, unless we are one day forced to, to keep our lights on. If our current schedule does not work for options you have interest in, please let us know, and we'd do whatever the general community would prefer.

For us to be able to offer sanctioned events with direct (WPN, Pokemon. RIOT Games, Legendary Studios) prize support, it is vital for players to attend our scheduled events and report or allow us to report their attendance through each company's reporting system. This is what determines our prize support from them. The more prize support they give, then the more product we can recieve from distributors. For items that seemingly there is never enough to satisfy demand for (Pokémon, One Piece) etc... THIS is how you help shops combat that. Shops in turn do limit items, because its the best way to fight back against scalping. We make the same amount regardless if we sell our entire stock to one person or 50 people. But what good does it do a shop to make 1 person very happy, and 49 others disappointed? It's far better to make the one unhappy and 49 others content.

Weather it be us at The Pack Rack , our friends over at Aesop's Treasury, the knowledgeable staff Gamers Bazaar or elsewhere, your attendance and reporting for events helps all of us better serve you!

🚨 Pokémon Event Rule Changes – Is It True? 👀

Reports are circulating that Pokémon has introduced new vendor restrictions at official events, including limits on graded cards, high-value items, and certain imported products.

If accurate, this could be one of the biggest shifts we've seen for Pokémon tournaments in years, with a stronger focus on players, collectors, and the overall event experience.

Happy Saturday Spinsters! Some new merch in this week! A restock of Silver Age Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 Decks, starter decks, coloring books, cards, starter decks, rarity collection and gem packs.

Reminder that tables are available today for Open Trade Day & Pack Wars! Tables available today and tomorrow for anyone to bring their collections in and trade with each other or the general public. Pack wars offered only today from 11am-4pm.

How our version of pack wars works: you and a partner each buys 1 pack of the same option out of available shop stock, Drew Calahan will call out a stat or card detail; i.e. football packs: player with highest passing yards. Participants would look through their packs, one with the highest passing yards wins that round and wins 1 pack of the same that was purchased. I.E. Magic cards: creatuee with highest attack. Participants would win if they have the highest attacking creature out of the packs opened, and would win 1 pack of the same magic cards bought for that round.

No limits on the rounds, and players may do as many as they like. Each round does not have to be only 2 players, a 2 player minimum is required, but can be unlimited. However, there would only be 1 winner each round.

Come bring some stuff to trade, hang out, rip some packs and just have fun with the strong card community the area has to offer!

Happy Friday Spinsters! Reminder that this weekend is Open Trade Day & Pack Wars! Tables first come, first serve for those that would like to hang out and trade amongst each other or the general public. Trade days offered this Saturday AND Sunday! During shop hours of operation! Pack wars will be offered on any Saturday edition of Open Trade day, from 11am-4pm. You and a partner each purchase a pack (of anything in stock---but must be the same item). We will call out a random stat or condition etc, the person that comes closest or is first to pull, will win a free pack of the same that was purchased!

70 MPH in Missouri isn’t really a speed limit — it’s more like a statewide experiment to see how aggressively people can merge during thunderstorms 😭🚗🌩️

You start driving through Missouri thinking:
“Alright… rolling hills, Midwest charm, maybe a calm little road trip.”

Wrong.

Too slow? There’s already a silver pickup truck from rural Missouri materializing behind you out of nowhere doing approximately the speed of sound 💀

Too fast? Doesn’t matter — somebody in a Dodge Charger with Cardinals stickers still passes you at 93 while holding a gas-station energy drink and spiritually ignoring traffic laws.

You try cruising at a respectable 76.

Immediately passed by:
• a St. Louis commuter weaving through lanes like they’re escaping federal agents
• a muddy farm truck carrying enough equipment to rebuild the economy
• a college kid from Columbia driving like every highway entrance is a drag strip

And somehow all three disappear into the rain before your GPS can even reroute.

Then comes Missouri weather.

Not normal weather.

Missouri weather behaves like it’s spinning a wheel every 20 minutes 🌪️😭

One minute:
sunshine, blue skies, peaceful vibes ☀️

Next minute:
• rain starts falling sideways
• thunder shakes the entire interstate
• the sky turns green enough to make everybody quietly nervous

Meanwhile somebody in a Bass Pro Shops hat is still confidently doing 84 through a lightning storm like this is completely standard behavior.

Then traffic stops.

No crash.
No construction.
No explanation.

Just one person slowing down because they saw the Gateway Arch and decided the interstate was now a sightseeing tour 🏙️💀

Classic Missouri.

You finally start moving again and think:
“Okay… we’re good now.”

Absolutely not.

Now you’re trapped behind:
• an RV heading toward Branson
• a convoy of semis creating rolling-wall traffic
• and at least one out-of-state driver experiencing Kansas City merging for the first time

Meanwhile somebody nearby is casually eating toasted ravioli while driving with one hand like it’s spiritually required 🍝😭

And just when you think the road can’t get more chaotic…

A deer appears beside the highway.

Not scared.
Not moving.

Just standing there in the rain staring at traffic like it personally owns the Ozarks 🦌💀

Your GPS says:
“Arrival in 48 minutes.”

Missouri says:
“That depends… are you crossing St. Louis at rush hour, trapped behind trucks in the hills, or entering Branson during tourist season?” 😭

And somehow, through ALL of this…

There’s still one person driving exactly 70 in the left lane like they were personally appointed by the state to enforce emotional growth and patience.

Welcome to Missouri highways.

Where every road trip includes random tornado anxiety, aggressive merging, confusing weather, gas-station cuisine, and at least one person treating I-70 like the Daytona 500.
