We’re crushed by the loss of Dolly Parton. Not only did she sparkle on stage, but she also shared our love of reading.

Dolly wasn’t just a music icon; she was one of the greatest champions of childhood literacy in American history. Through her Imagination Library, she mailed millions of free books to children around the world, one a month, from birth to age five, asking nothing in return but the hope that a kid somewhere might fall in love with reading the way she did.
