"Aloha isn't measured by how people treat you. It's measured by how you choose to treat others."
Anyone can show kindness when life is easy. Living with aloha means choosing peace over anger, honesty over convenience, respect over pride, gratitude over entitlement, and love over hate—even when it's difficult.
Every small act matters. A smile, an encouraging word, a fair deal, or taking the time to help someone can change the course of another person's day. Most people will never know the impact they have, but aloha has a way of rippling far beyond the moment.
Today's challenge: Before the day ends, do one unexpected act of aloha for someone who isn't expecting it. Don't do it for recognition—do it simply because that's the person you choose to be.
ʻŌlelo noʻeau (Hawaiian proverb): "Aloha aku, aloha mai." — "When love is given, love is returned."
