A final update on our ren faire costumes! I didn't get many good photos because we were too busy having fun!

I was up until 10:30 the night before finishing up our outfits, which is completely normal for me. I am a textbook procrastinator 🫠

In total I made:
- My bodice (one side is a vintage pink floral, the other is a cream floral tablecloth)
- Ellie's chemise (light blue floral, made from vintage fabric)
- Ellie's bodice (same pink floral, and the other side is a cream cotton shower curtain)
- Ellie's skirt (made from a white vintage tablecloth that I hand dyed pink)
- Brian's cloak vest thing (still unsure of name... lol! made from a green linen tablecloth, hood is lined in a striped shower curtain)
- Brian's quiver (made from a thrifted faux leather-- I'd love to remake in real leather! with real leather vintage belts for the strap)

This was such a fun project to work on in my down time, and I am already thinking of ways to change it up next year!! The best part was Ellie telling everyone "thanks, my mom made it!" 🥰

Witchy friends! We are almost a week away from Halloween and I can make a few more black witch hats! These are hand dyed and fully lined. Right now I have a black and white plaid for the lining!

These fit almost any head sizes- even big ones like mine! A Halloween miracle!

Family ren faire costume update!!

Finished my bodice yesterday and it took 4 hours 🫠 but for my first women’s bodice I’m pretty happy with it! The lacing is a bit weird here but just pretend it isn’t 😂

I couldn’t decide on what color I wanted, so I made it reversible. My skirt and top are thrifted so aside from a witch hat, my costume is finished!

Next up is Brian’s cloak vest thing, which hopefully won’t take as long since it’s only 4 pieces to cut vs the 16 I cut for this bodice 🫣

I’ve been slowly working on our ren faire costumes and finally have a finished item to show! This has been so fun to make. Next up: Ellie’s chemise, my top, Brian’s cloak, and a quiver. Oh, and arrows. 😂😂 I’m anticipating many late nights in my future…
