TOOL or RADIOHEAD? 👁️📻

Yeah… we know. This is a ridiculous comparison. 😂

Both emerged as major forces in ’90s alternative rock. Both got experimental. Both built fiercely devoted fanbases. Both made records that reward obsessively listening with headphones on.

And yet… TOOL and Radiohead could hardly sound more different.

So we’re putting two heavy hitters on the table:

Apparently Third Eye Curiosities is now an officially unofficial dove sanctuary. 🕊️🪺

We’ve got another mama dove who decided the New Southern Hotel marquee was the perfect place to build her nest — right outside the shop.

And honestly… we get it. Good location. Covered parking. Records nearby. 😂

She’s just about as cute as can be, so I guess this is our thing now: mama doves seek shelter at Third Eye, and we become emotionally invested in their entire journey.

We’ll be keeping an eye on her, giving her plenty of space, and wishing this little mama the absolute best. ❤️

RECORD ROULETTE 🎰💿

No carefully selected bestsellers. No planning the perfect stack. We went into the bins and let fate hand Wren four completely random records.

And somehow we went from obscure finds to a pretty serious piece of country-music history. 😂

🎰 #1 — Get Rhythm & Rocks: No More Blues
The mystery pull of the round. Record people: tell us what you know.

🎰 #2 — Jerry Jeff Walker, Ridin’ High (1975)
Walker was the songwriter behind “Mr. Bojangles” and became one of the defining characters of the Texas progressive/outlaw-country world.

🎰 #3 — Wanted! The Outlaws (1976)
Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser together—and this became the first country album ever certified platinum. It went #1 country and even reached #10 on the pop album chart.

🎰 4 — Mary K. Miller, Heartaches to a Heartache
And this is why we love digging through old record bins: sometimes Record Roulette sends you somewhere completely unexpected.
