New ToyPlay - Parr 1 💕If anybody knows where I can get MORE of these, PLEASE tell me!! 😂

I think the box said “Stuffies.” I found these at Dollar Tree in the toy section, and they had probably 10–15 in a box. I know they aren’t a regular DT item, so I’m pretty sure they won’t be getting anymore. 😭

And now I’m kicking myself because I didn’t realize Jobi could PEEL them like this!! 😂 Had I known, I would’ve bought every single one they had. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

This boy LOVES anything he can pick at, peel, pull, work on and figure out. It keeps his little brain so busy, and watching him concentrate on something like this sone of my favorite things. 🥹💕

So if you’ve seen these somewhere else—or know exactly what they’re called—PLEASE help a mama out!! 😂🙏🏼

🌈 Be a rainbow. 💖

Big Dolly fan over here — ya know, backwoods Barbie and all. 😉💖

Of course, Dolly was legendary, and her voice will live on not only through her music, but through her words, her kindness, and the things she chose to do with her life.

But there are things you may not know about Dolly that have made me love her even more over the years.

She had the same husband and the same best friend her whole life. In a world where money, fame and success can change people and relationships, I think there’s something incredibly beautiful about that.

She took care of her own. She invested back into the hills of Tennessee, creating opportunities and an entire legacy of growth and prosperity for the people and communities around her.

She created the Imagination Library, sending children a FREE book every single month from birth until they’re five years old. She understood something so important — a child shouldn’t have to wait until they’re old enough for school to have access to books, imagination and the opportunity to learn. 📚💕

And without turning this into a whole rant… this is something I think about A LOT.

I hear people say things like, “There should be guidelines on what people can buy with food stamps,” or “Why should we help people who won’t help themselves?”

And trust me, I understand where that comes from.

I come from some of the hardest-working, blue-collar people you’ll ever meet — coal miners who spent countless hours on their knees in terrible conditions. I’ve seen people take advantage of systems that were meant to help them.

But what I’ve learned is that sometimes we forget to look at the children standing underneath those circumstances.

Being close to some children whose parents were struggling with addiction changed the way I saw things.

Because when the adults in their lives aren’t capable of providing what they need, those children still have to eat.

And sometimes the food that gets them through the day isn’t the food we think they should be eating.

That changed my perspective. Dolly spoke often about her humble beginnings and how that experience gave her the same perspective.

Dolly has also turned down some incredible offers that could have made her even more money and fame. She was offered enormous amounts to pose n**e. She knew who she was and never needed to compromise herself to prove it.

And honestly, I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about her.

She stayed Dolly.

She stayed kind.
She stayed humble.
She stayed true to herself.
And she encouraged other people to do the same.

She used her success to lift people up instead of looking down on them.

That, to me, is what makes someone truly rich. 💖

And from one of my babies’ favorite books from Dolly… 🌈📚

✨ Dollar Tree makeup storage for the win! 💕💄

I found these little storage pieces in the school supplies and they’re perfect for keeping all my goodies where I can actually see them. 🩷✨

A little organizing + a little girlie magic = the cutest vanity setup! 🎀💋

He didn’t quite know what to think about that jewelry box 😂💖 It was a little tricky to pop open AND get it to stay open, and he’s never done one like that before! 😂

I swear, he is the cutest, sweetest, most precious baby in the whole world. 🥹💖 Watching him grow and learn has been the sweetest thing. He is literally SO smart, and he listens to Mommy sooooo good!

And now that he’s listening so well, he’s getting to do more and more things with me, which he absolutely LOVES. 🥰 I’m so proud of my smart little boy! 💖✨

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately, guys! 💕 I just have a few more things to finish — putting up the trim, framing, painting & staining the closet area, and fixing a few little things… and then my dream of having a girly little get-ready + paint/craft room will officially be a REALITY! 🎀🩷✨

I couldn’t resist giving y’all the tiniest little sneak peekie of all this gorgeous girlie goodness! 😍🎀

Pink, pretty, sparkly & all things ME. ✌️💖 I’m SO excited to finally see this room come together! 🥹🩷

Playing & snacking 💕✨

Loving my new fidget Daddy got me from Johnny & Sam’s auction! 🥰

Days like this are exactly why we have a little “treasure box” of toys and fidgets that are new to Jobi. He LOVES figuring out little gadgets — it’s his favorite thing sto do! So I keep a stash of “emergency” toys for days when he has to be on a leash, isn’t feeling his best, or just needs a little extra stimulation. 🥹💗

If you’ve been here a while, you know Jobi is only on a leash when we’re out of the house or when we’re doing something where he needs to be kept safe — like using the oven or, today, while Greg is laying the floor in my new vanity room.

Jobi is never kept in an enclosure. He absolutely hated it, so early on we learned that when he needs to be contained for safety, our options are a leash with someone supervising him or having him stay safely in another room.

I get asked almost every day, “Is he hard to take care of?”

Sometimes I accidentally blurt out, “No, he’s just like having another baby.” 😂 But I really try to say yes, because I have to remember that most people aren’t like me not to say I’m anymore fit for it than anyone else. The experience of going from one kid with no issues, to four in a 6 month span, two of which having issues (autism & adhd) left me constantly providing that level of attention, enrichment and supervision.

Parenting has always meant creating an environment where they have room to explore, learn, be stimulated and thrive.

So for me, Jobi isn’t necessarily hard… he’s just all-consuming. 😂❤️

And honestly, I think that’s true with human babies too. When you love them, give them your time, attention and energy, and consistently meet their wants and needs, you’re giving them the best chance to grow into happy, healthy little beings.

It isn’t necessarily complicated.
But it absolutely requires effort. ❤️🐒
