We had such an awesome time with Michael Bettendorf yesterday evening!

His books didn’t just sell… they vanished. Completely gone. We’re already working on a restock and will make sure he signs the new batch too.

Tomorrow! Saturday, August 15th is BOOKSTORE ROMANCE DAY! We're celebrating all things romance all day, with a 2pm reading/Q&A/book signing by our local romance bestie Malia Emary (pen name Beth Hope). Alvin Coffee will also be popping up from 10-2 so you can get your caffeine fix along with the best romance has to offer! Donations will support Voices of Hope domestic violence crisis center + the grassroots organizers of Bookstore Romance Day. This celebration is free and open to all!

Doors will open at 6:30pm with author reads commencing at 7pm. The lineup--

After all authors have read, we will open the floor up for audience members to ask questions. We’ll wrap everything up by drawing raffle winners and shouting out the orgs we’re benefitting.

is one of the organizations we’re supporting at this event, and they primarily focus on providing affordable legal assistance to immigrants and refugees.

Nebraska Appleseed is the second organization we’re supporting, and they do incredible work by making community resources available and readily accessible.

We will have 4 giveaway baskets that you may choose to participate in a drawing for. Raffle Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Official details will be announced prior to the event, but all will include a signed copy that authors nationwide have donated plus a Junk Drawer zine and various goodies from local creators.

We are incredibly thankful to have and .coffee opening up their services for those who are coming thirsty and/or hungry. Be sure to support these amazing local businesses before, during, or after the event. Sower is letting y’all bring the food in from Rutabaga’s to enjoy during the readings, so please be mindful around their books and clean up after yourselves.
