✝️Thursday Thought: Most Certainly Uncertain and Flipped Upside Down✝️
This past month, my life has been completely flipped upside down. I've experienced just about every emotion, and am still experiencing turmoil with some of the unknown, uncertainties ahead.
We had a housefire. Everyone got out ok, people and pets, and our home was spared. Only a couple rooms were effected. No matter how much you learn about emergency preparedness, you're never truly prepared to experience it firsthand. Things could've turned out disastrously. I was praying the whole time for God to save our house. He did. He spared it. Something so small, so insignificant in comparison to the troubles of the world, but so very important to our well-being. He cares. When we ask, He is there; not always with the answers we would like, but He's with us through it all. We never know what will happen tomorrow, but God already knows. He knows what we will be facing and how it will effect us. He has a plan and a purpose for our pain. We can learn and grow from it, becoming better, more capable people or we can give up, become bitter and accomplishing nothing.
It can be easy to be overcome by depression and just want to stay in bed, hoping to sleep all the problems away, but that isn't healthy. You need to take care of yourself physically and mentally. We can't face life alone, so we certainly can't face trials and tribulations alone. One of the many blessings of having fellowship with other believers is knowing people who care about eachother and can walk beside you through difficult times. It's so important to reach out and let them know when you are struggling. Just as you will want to help them when they face hard times.
Life is filled with uncertainties. No matter how chaotic or hopelessly unfixable things may seem, it's extra important to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus! He's has the power to give you the peace, calm and comfort you need. Lean on Him, and He will help you through. God's got this!
