🔧 Breathing New Life Into an Old Ma**er

We were recently sent these pictures of an old small-ring Ma**er, and from what we can see, it appears there may be some Swiss connection to this r***e. There’s definitely some history here, and we’d love to learn more about exactly what we’re looking at.

The big question is: What would YOU do with it?

Would you:

* 🛠️ Preserve it as close to original as possible?
* 🎯 Give it a careful restoration and make it a functional shooter?
* 🔥 Build a tasteful custom r***e while preserving the character of the original?
* 🏆 Or go all-in on a period-correct restoration?

Before anything is done, we’d want to properly identify the action, markings, condition, and history of the r***e.

What do you think would be the best way to breathe new life into this old Ma**er? Drop your ideas—and if you recognize the action or markings, we’d love to hear from you!

🎨 In the paint booth today! 🎨

A customer came to us with a simple request: “I want a pink and blue AR-15.” 💙🩷

At VelociArms, we believe a custom build should be exactly what the customer wants. So today, we’re making it happen!

We’ve got the parts hanging in the booth, laying down that blue and pink combination, and we’re having a little fun with this one. 😎

Because custom means custom — if you can dream it, we’ll do everything we can to make it happen.

A Quick Safety Check Before the Range 🔧

A customer brought this SIG Sauer P220 into VelociArms for a thorough inspection before taking it to the range.

We broke it down, inspected the major components, checked for any obvious issues, and made sure everything was where it needed to be before it went back into service.

A little preventative maintenance and a professional inspection can go a long way toward making sure your range day starts off right.

At VelociArms, we believe in doing things right—before you ever pull the trigger.

A little welding, a little grinding, and this Mississippi r***e replica is back in operation! 🔧🔥

As you can see, the sear had broken, leaving this reenactment r***e out of commission. We repaired the damaged part, cleaned everything up, and got her functioning properly again.

The customer is very happy—and now she’s ready to get back out there and do some more reenacting! 🇺🇸

At VelociArms, sometimes it’s not about building something new. Sometimes it’s about bringing an old favorite back to life.

A Small Issue. A Quick Fix. Back to the Range. 🔧🎯

A client brought this .45 Army revolver into VelociArms with a small mechanical issue. After inspection, we identified the problem, replaced the worn part, and got everything back together and functioning properly.

Sometimes keeping a trusted fi***rm running doesn’t require a major overhaul—it takes experience, attention to detail, and the right replacement part.

Another one off the bench and back where it belongs: in the hands of its owner and back out shooting.

At VelociArms, we take pride in doing the little things right, because good enough isn’t.

You may remember this old receiver from a couple of days ago. Well, the stock finally came in! It’s not quite finished yet, but it’s going to make a great foundation for our winter project—a .35 Re*****on build.

Now the fun part begins: finding the right barrel and a Timney trigger to finish the build.

This old receiver has some serious potential. I can’t wait to see where we take it! 🔧🔫

Another Re*****on 870 wandered into the shop looking for a little attention. 🔧

This one came in needing a thorough inspection and cleaning. We’ll go through it, check things over, get everything cleaned up, and make sure it’s ready to go back home.

Sometimes fi****ms just need a little professional TLC. That’s part of what we do here at VelociArms.

Drug out an old receiver from the back of the safe and started going through the possibilities. 🔧

This one has definitely seen some miles, but there’s still potential here. Now I’m kicking around the idea of giving it a new life as a .35 Re*****on.

The .35 Rem. has always been an interesting woods cartridge—classic, effective, and with plenty of history behind it. There’s something pretty cool about taking an old action and turning it into a useful hunting r***e instead of letting it collect dust.

So what does everyone think?

Would you build this one in .35 Re*****on, or go in a different direction?

Let’s hear your ideas. 👇
