The 6mm Dasher project is nearing the finish line! 🔥

The rifle is assembled, ammunition is loaded, and a new compensator is ready to be installed. This weekend we'll be heading to the range for initial test firing and load development.

There's always a lot of work behind the scenes before a custom rifle sends its first round downrange, and we're excited to see how this one performs. The Peterson brass is loaded and ready, the final details are coming together, and now it's almost time to let the rifle do the talking.

Stay tuned—range results, chronograph data, accuracy testing, and plenty of photos and videos are coming soon!

What started at 590 yards quickly turned into a day of pushing limits, and the rifle delivered. At over 1,200 yards, every variable matters—ammunition, optics, environmental conditions, and most importantly, the shooter behind the trigger.

Congratulations to Roger on an outstanding shot and a memorable day on the range. We can’t wait to see how much farther this rifle can reach.

50 rounds of 6mm Dasher ammunition are loaded and ready to go. The brass is prepped, primed, charged, and topped with bullets—now it’s time for the fun part: test firing the rifle and seeing what kind of accuracy this build can deliver.

Stay tuned as we head to the range and start gathering velocity and accuracy data. We can’t wait to see what this rifle is capable of!

Last year, VelociArms had the honor of donating a custom 1911 to the DAV for their annual golf tournament and auction.

This year, we’re trying something a little different. There’s still more to come, but if all goes according to plan, it will involve this DAV coin being embedded into a custom firearm build.

🔍 Taking a closer look at a 6.5 PRC chamber today. This factory Christensen Arms Mesa-type barrel is failing to allow the bolt to fully close. From the borescope view, you can definitely see some questionable chamber conditions.
