🕊️ 25 YEARS LATER — NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸
September 11, 2001 changed America—and it changed my life forever.
In the difficult years that followed, I lost two businesses I had poured my heart into: Nascimento Fine Dining Restaurant and Samba Lounge. I also lost the man I loved and believed was my soulmate, my fiancé David, after almost five years together.
David, a former Navy SEAL Team 6 member, went to Ground Zero to help after 9/11 and was honored for his service and sacrifice.
I lost so much during that chapter of my life. But I also discovered something: I was stronger than I knew.
Twenty-five years later, I look back with love, gratitude, forgiveness, and a deeper appreciation for life.
Some chapters break our hearts.
Some chapters rebuild us.
And some teach us that we are still here for a reason.
