Leblanc clarinet from the 1950's. It was pretty grimy, to put it nicely. I replaced 9 pads, and that was with saving as many as I could. Could have been an overhaul, but I opted for the thorough "full cleaning". The customer was well over 80 years old and he was happy, so, thats what its all about. I think the dog leash attachment was genious, by the way. Gotta leave that there. Solid.

This clarinet was in pretty bad shape, especially because of that nice long crack. Hopefully my glue work will hold, but I can pin and insert the tone hole if necessary. Its a Schrieber, pretty unique and vintage, and turned out pretty great.

I ended up making my own skin pad for this one. It didnt turn out too badly. Could be wrapped a bit tighter next time ...

I forgot to post this week. I played a gig with "Opera in the Park, Portland" CRUZAR LA CARA DE LA LUNA, A Mariachi Opera, free to the public. It was lots of fun. Next year will be Beethoven's 200th anniversary, so they will be performing his only Opera, Fidelo. Fun stuff.
