☀️ We will be open normal hours 10am-6pm on Friday (4th), Closed Saturday (5th) through Monday (7th), and open again for normal business hours on Tuesday (8th).

Hello September & Happy New Book Tuesday!

📚 There are so many new books out this week, where to begin?! Let’s start with the newest installment in Katherine Rundell’s bestselling middle-grade “Impossible Creatures” series! “The Neverafter” follows Christopher & Anya on their next daring adventures in the magical Archipelago!

📚 National Bestselling Author Amanda Peters has returned with her newest book, “The Birthing Tree”. What Are We Reading!?

Booksellers often get asked, “do you just sit around and read all day?” The answer is, “we wish!” Booksellers, believe it or not, haven’t read every book in the world, let alone in their store, but we do our best!

This week Liz is reading “American Rambler” by Isaac Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald also wrote the beloved bestselling memoir “Dirtbag, Massachusetts”, which is also a favorite of Liz’s!

“American Rambler” follows the path of the legend known as Johnny Appleseed. Fitzgerald combines a memoir, history lesson, & travelogue into one hilarious and heartfelt account of what it means to create a myth. Liz grew up in the same hometown as Fitzgerald, so this book really feels like a warm hug of nostalgia.

If you loved “Six Walks: In the Footsteps of Henry David Thoreau” by Ben Shattuck, you will LOVE “American Rambler”. This book has so much heart and hope; two things we could all use more of!
