Congrats to these young poets!

This spring, the eighth graders took part in their annual Poetry Slam, where they recited a poem to the class that they had written. Students voted for their top three choices within each hour, and middle school staff then chose the top three poems for the eighth grade. This year’s top poets are Amelia with first place for "Infestation," Makenzie with second place for "The Lively Night," and Elizabeth with third place for "View." Congratulations to these poets, and thank you to our Poetry Slam judges and to Forever Books in St. Joseph for providing prizes to the winning poets. ❤️🤍🖤
