We're Hiring! Take a look!

Now Hiring: Operations Assistant
Sandy Community Action Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our team as a part-time Operations Assistant. This is a hands-on position that helps keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. Duties will vary depending on what needs to be done each day.
Schedule & Pay
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (may vary slightly) Approximately 20 hours per week
Starting pay: $18.00/hour
What You'll Do
Duties may include:
• Staffing the donation dock and accepting donations
• Sorting and organizing donated items
• Helping customers
• Moving freight, boxes, furniture, and other donated goods
• Helping keep work and storage areas clean and organized
• Assisting staff and volunteers with daily tasks
• Other duties as needed
What We're Looking For
The right person will be:
• Dependable and able to arrive on time
• Friendly and respectful with customers, donors, volunteers, and coworkers
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Willing to do a variety of tasks and pitch in where needed
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
Physical Requirements
This is an active, physical job. Applicants must be able to:
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Move furniture and other bulky items
• Climb and work from ladders
• Bend, reach, push, pull, and carry items
• Be on their feet for much of the workday
