New Moon in Virgo | Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 8:26pm PT 🌑♍️
The centerpiece of these four weeks is the New Moon in Virgo on September 10th at 18 degrees. New Moons are for planting seeds, and this one plants seeds of worthiness. It is conjunct Mercury, which means the seeds are made of thought and word as much as intention. What you choose to believe about yourself at this New Moon becomes the ground everything else grows in. We will work with this lunation in depth in its own section, but know that it is the most important doorway of the season.
The same day brings a second event that gives the New Moon its particular charge. Uranus, the planet of sudden change and awakening, stations retrograde in Gemini on September 10th. A planet stationing is like a planet standing still and growing very loud, and Uranus standing still on the same day as the New Moon means the season’s biggest moment comes with a jolt of insight. Gemini and Virgo are both ruled by Mercury and sit in a square to each other, a relationship of creative tension, so the awakening energy of Uranus pours straight into the New Moon’s themes of how you think and how you speak to yourself. You might suddenly hear how harshly you have been talking to yourself. You might catch a thought mid sentence and realize you would never say it to someone you love. This is Uranus doing what it does best, interrupting the old loop so a new way ofseeing yourself can come through.
