Fun random fact, but I love that in Japan there was no domestic Lexus branding until about 2005. That means the luxury version of the Land Cruiser was still badged as a Land Cruiser. While they didn’t hide the fact it was a Land Cruiser, it did get special badging with the Cygnus name to indicate the top of the line trim. The Cygnus name indicating one of the brightest stars in the night sky and connected to Greek mythology(Zeus of course). This Brochure is in line to scan soon. Winter is on its way! What are your goals in the garage this winter? Hoping I can at least knock out the doors, hood hinges and bumper. The rest would be cool but trying to be realistic. Especially since I know I’ll discover 10 more projects on the way. 😆

One more JDM EWD manual for the site! I’ll never tire of these diagrams. Up on the site today is a freshly scanned 1996 90series Prado repair manual for the VZJ, KZJ, and RZJ9x 😎 . 24k gold magic baby! Would you have paid extra for it? Supposedly the gold emblem package cost about $600 back in 1997, so $1200 today. Spicy. This small accessory brochure (full version up on the website!) is a companion to the main 1997 Land Cruiser brochure we recently posted. Looking at the accessories I have to say the US got kinda shafted on available extras from Toyota... .but hey beggers can’t be choosers as they say. So at least we got the 80 anyways. Hahaha. What accessories would you have selected back then? Cheers all.

The 100 series. Forever love this platform. Mark does too and sent us these photos of his clean 105 series. He loves it so much he imported a Lexus LX470 so his 105 could have a sibling. 💯😎 What are you picking to drive today? 1997, what a good year for Land Cruisers. Peak 80 series. Such a damn good variant. Even Biggie loved them. 😎 I know some peeps love the early year cloth seat and no sunroof versions, but the late ones definitely brought the refined 🔥. Up today is a freshly scanned 1997 USA brochure full of large sexy spreads. This was a particularly challenging brochure to scan due to its large format size and glossy pages. But we got there 😅. It’s up on the website now for free viewing!

Hey! Our first 200series FSM up on the website! Paul Stockhoff sent us this cool JDM 200series electrical repair manual for scanning. 🙏 It’s now up on the site for free download. We have some US market 200series manuals on the way as well. Just added a 2UZ Antitheft Harness to the 100. One banana 🍌 job and took about an hour to install. Will give peace of mind when parking in less desirable areas.
