This is a story about how when God speaks, you listen.
3 years ago, I started designing stickers and sold 200 of them at retail pricing the first year. I knew this wasn't sustainable so I asked God for guidance. He very clearly said, "Sell them wholesale."
WHAT? So I'm barely making it work at full price, and you want me to sell them for half of that... Okaaaay... (researches wholesale selling, finds Faire.com, joins, lists stickers, waits).
Well, the orders started coming in. Missional Merch sold 2,000 stickers the first month! Fast forward nearly 2.5 years and God has overflowed this business and ministry. We sell nearly 200 stickers a day now, and stickers with God's word (and some humorous ones) are getting sent all over the US!
I'm deeply grateful that not only did God direct me to shift gears, but that He cares about my desire to create beautiful things so much that He'd turn it into a way to further His kingdom, contribute to our family and provide food to those in need throughout the US. To date, we've donated over 60,000 meals to people because of wholesale purchases from our retail partners.
I had a little bitty desire and no knowledge of wholesale merchandising, and now Missional Merch is ranked in the Top 3% of the largest wholesale buying platform in the world. It does NOT make sense... BUT GOD.
I do not take any credit for this, save listening to what seemed like terrible advice from an all-loving Father and continuing to design and send out these fun stickers!
