Darrell Thomas Textiles originally opened its doors September 18, 2000 and quickly became well known for providing the most beautiful and original dressmaking textiles in Ottawa, Canada. this store was opened with the purpose of providing the sewing community a boutique with well represented Textiles and Sewing Classes. We opened our first store in the 240 Sparks Shopping Centre, which is located

in the downtown core of Ottawa. At this location, we sold high quality textiles for clothing as well as a selection of Home Couture articles such as pillows, throws, and pillars. But after four years, we found that we had outgrown our premises and decided to look for a new home. A charming building with a lot of style and class. At this location, not only do we sell high quality dressmaking textiles and designer buttons (43 000 in stock), but we also offer Sewing classes and a line of designer Clothing. Last week we received a large amount of beautiful quilting, cottons, and also some amazing sewing thread. All of them have been priced at liquidation prices, and have been placed on our charity racks at the front of our store. All of the proceeds from the sale of this merchandise will be donated to the Mississippi Mills youth centre. If you are near Almonte, drop by and treat yourself to a bargain. Sample Books for Sale

Fabric sample books can send a creative mind spinning. The attraction at the sight of such beautiful fabrics perfectly colour coordinated in a neat little bundle, but are balanced by the more practical question of ‘what can I really make with such small pieces?’.

For those who love textiles, fabric sample books are a bonanza. These are bound books containing a line of fabric, generally used by interior designers and upholstery shops to show clients the possibilities.  You may have seen them as they are located on our back wall near the Home Decor Department.
