Introducing Cormorant Charcuterie to the shop this week - Devonian charcuterie with a Nordic touch and fully ORGANIC pork!

A relatively new operation coming from the lovely The Baddaford Collective led by Michael - a former glaciologist who learnt the craft of charcuterie production in small scale farms in Sweden where he developed a passion for organic farming.

Working predominantly with pork sourced from the wonderful The Apricot Centre and other small scale organic neighbours he is slowly developing a signature style in his flavourings with special seasonal cures such as wild garlic saucisson (in the fridge here now) that have a wonderful umami edge.

Now available to eat in and take away. Not available online we’re afraid.

OFFICIALLY ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO ENJOY CIDER IN THE UK!

It’s rather nice when our tiny little shop gets some national press so thank you to The i Paper and Gabe Gabe Cook for including us in their list as one of the best places to enjoy cider in the UK!

Whilst we may think cider isn’t just for summer there’s no denying that this wonderful drink is intrinsically linked to hot sunny days for many people.

And to keep you all well stocked in deliciously fermented apples and pears we have plenty of new arrivals from Find & Foster Fine Ciders , Ripe , Wilding and SmithHayneOrchards on the shelves at the moment - also available online with loads of info about the producers and styles. OR just come in a grab a glass whilst you peruse the shelves.

Back in stock finally! The 2025 Musaguzzo from is back on the shelf.

Sangiovese as a blanc de noir pet nat - hazier than previous vintages but just if not more delicious for it.

Available in store and online in the webstore.

🌱 Roots & Routes: Nourishing Diasporic Food Entrepreneurship

This Saturday (20th June) University of Exeter , together with Olia Hercules and Vadym Granovskiy , are bringing Roots & Routes, a one-day celebration of food, culture and community at Exeter College (Hele Road Site). Inspired by Olia’s memoir Strong Roots, the event brings together diasporic food entrepreneurs, chefs, makers and cultural practitioners from across the South West, starting with Ukrainian food traditions and branching out into Hong Kong, West African, Syrian, Kurdish and other diasporic communities.

Expect storytelling, hands-on skills sessions and a brilliant makers’ marketplace; all about sharing food heritage, building connections, and helping food businesses thrive. 🍲✨

📍 Exeter College, Hele Road Site 🗓️ Sat 20 June | 10:00–18:00

To mark the occasion, we’ll be opening a selection of wines by the glass at the shop over the weekend, all made from heritage grapes; some indigenous varieties nearly lost to history, kept alive by small peasant communities who never stopped growing them. The star of the lineup is Nour by Heya Wines (Co-ferments) in Lebanon. Heya Wines is a natural wine project founded by Claudine Lteif and Michelle Chami, two friends building a female-led winery with an all-women vineyard team and a minimal-intervention, native-yeast approach to winemaking. Nour is a direct pressed blend of rare native grape Obeideh with Grenache Blanc from the Bekaa Valley, fermented naturally and aged in Lebanese amphorae before bottling without anything added or taken away. Named after the Arabic word for light, it’s a wine born from resilience and hope, crafted during a time of profound turmoil in Lebanon.

Tickets are now available for May’s Wine Tasting
Heritage Grapes of Catalonia
Thurs 21st May 6.30pm

With some of the most consistently exciting wines coming from here vintage after vintage, Catalonia is a region we are particularly fond of here at Pullo.

Whilst most people will only associate the region with Cava, there are in fact many different appellations with rich histories stretching back to the pre-Roman Carthaginian settlers that brought viticulture with them. These different regions have many now indigenous varieties, some well spread across the mediterranean coasts of Spain and France (and further afield), and some only found in small pockets within the region. Come and explore them with us!

Our tastings are relaxed group events where we open a range of wines or ciders to explore a theme, region or style. We usually taste 5-6 bottles, with some snacks available too. The tasting itself will typically take about 1.5 hours starting at 6.30pm with questions afterwards. After the tasting you’re welcome to stay for more chat, drinks & nibbles if you’d like (closing 10pm).
