21/08/2026

Well a little late to the party as I filmed this a while ago & just didn’t manage to edit or post it!
I’ve had .phillips’s work out for a little while in the shop now.
It is so beautiful, great forms scrumptious colours & that lovely matte surface. It attracts lots of admiration & started selling as soon as I put it out so come & grab some while it’s still here!

It’s great to be selling another northern maker as she is based in Leeds. 😊

Beautiful new delivery from local maker . Vases, a beautiful platter & dip bowl & more of the ever popular soap dishes. Slab built by hand. Wonderful colour & texture are created from layers of beautiful underglazes & oxides decorated with brush strokes, carving & stencils, before being finished with a luscious shiny clear glaze.

My lucky number’s 1! That’s what I am on the Hebden Bridge Open Studios window trail & I’m lucky to have Will Lake’s beautiful photographs for my window. I have a great selection of his local images in the shop too! Come and see them in person rather than relying on my dodgy photos of his glorious work! (Sorry Will!😂) Or catch him at the Methodists Chapel (near the coop) on the Open Studios Event Friday - Sunday 3rd- 5th July.
Sneaking into the photos are ceramics by Anne Cahill who will be at Brier Hey Pottery for the Open Studios & who will also be at the Methodist Church.

The Window Trail features artwork by HBOS artists displayed in 70 shop windows throughout Hebden bridge until Sunday 5 July. Pick up a map at any of the participating shops or here at Hebble End Works .

She uses slab building & her own moulds to form the pieces. Some work has the colour built up in layers of quick vibrant brush strokes of bright slips over paper stencils to give the patterns. Other pieces have detail carved into the slip - scrafitto & many have more underglazes & oxides added. They are then finished with a luscious clear glaze. This makes each item truly one of a kind. Such beautiful colours.

It’s not just wonderful ceramics I have here in the shop, I have all sorts of lovely things…. Cards, like these birds cats & mobiles, soaps & bath things from .wellness, wax melts, candles, these recycled notebooks from , paper tape, hand printed textiles & funky teatowels from to mention just a few!
I love to be able to stock all these British made items from small companies & makers like myself, at prices to suit all pockets.

A brilliant new delivery new in (well I’ve had them in for a leetle while but it always takes me ages to get around to the social media stuff haha) from in all their myriad of amazing colours in slip cast porcelain.
Formed by Yuta Segawa they are a collective based in London experimenting with imperfect production in a world of machines.
As you can tell from my raving I love ❤️❤️ them!! There are 3 sizes of vases lots of big mugs & a few of 2 sizes of espresso mugs as a wee (literally!) experiment. Single or double shots. Which would you choose?

🎉🎉Another new fab artist for the shop - .art 🎉🎉
Photographed from signs & buildings, not digitally created, they do all sorts of phrases but I have mainly chosen the northern ones & I love the beauty & the humour - Mardy Bum & Old Fart went almost as soon as I put them out!
All the locations are listed on the back & the northern phrases are northern locations - come in & see if you can spot where they were taken!

They travel across the UK photographing the signage on hotels, pubs, shops and iconic buildings. As a result they have generated a vast image bank of letters in a variety of typographic styles, ranging from vintage and weathered to sleek and contemporary.

These letters are original photographs and are not digitally created – they are real photographs of real letters on real buildings and as such may show signs of wear and tear due to the elements, but this all adds to their charm and character.
