This stunning Djalla wood djembe is beautifully symmetrical with impeccable carving throughout. The oversized bowl produces a huge bass response, while the classic Beledugu style trumpet foot and intricate chip carving showcase the skill of the Malian 🇲🇱 carver.

The rich reddish-brown hardwood features subtle purple hues that are perfectly complemented by the vibrant red Dyneema rope, making this a real head turner.

The skin is a lovely medium thick goat skin, giving the drum bright, zingy slaps while retaining rich, warm tones. Despite being a hardwood shell, it’s surprisingly lightweight and has a wonderfully elegant stance that reminds me of a finely carved chess piece.

Thank you Halesworth Ale Day - Sat 13th June 2026. The organisation of the day was fantastic. We were welcomed with hugs, smiles and laughter. We held approx 10 short drumming sessions in the market place and met so many wonderful people, adults and children with wonderful drumming skills.

A huge thank you to all our friendly neighbours from 2018-2020 who came out in full force to come and catch up with us and our past and present students who came to say Hi and have a drum too.

🚐 Zebedee is all packed up and ready to roll for Halesworth Ale Day - Sat 13th June 2026

We’ll be there from 12pm–6pm bringing plenty of rhythm with drums, Boomwhackers, percussion and beautiful hand chimes. Whether you want to join in, have a jam, or just soak up the atmosphere, we’d love to see you.
