The staff, clients, and Board of Trustees of Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Auckland drummer Bruce King.

Over many years, Bruce generously gave his time, expertise, and care to Raukatauri, voluntarily repairing and restoring the percussion instruments that are an integral part of our music therapy practice. His quiet generosity ensured that countless clients and therapists could continue to make music with instruments that were maintained to the highest standard.

We are deeply grateful for the care Bruce brought to his mahi for us, and indeed to all of his work. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his whānau, friends, colleagues, and the many people whose lives were touched by his musicianship, generosity, and kindness.

Kia ora to all our facebook family.
You would have noticed our doors closed for the past month. We are still currently in Auckland. Batman and Robin were needed else where. Thanks for your support and we will keep you updated on the shop. As soon as we know more.
Due to family circumstances. We have the business up for sale. Available on Trademe. We hope that the doors will open again. We miss seeing all who walk through the doors. Please spread the word. Our biggest desire is to be up here with dad and family. So we hope to hand over the keys for the music land. To the new music lovers and givers.

We are having a fantastic time up here in Auckland. It’s been great spending the time with Gpa Bruce King. This wouldn’t be possible without our son Stephen. His positive attitude and love for helping people and music shine bites for him. He is in his third week managing the shop. I couldn’t have been prouder. We are missing everybody and hope you are well. We will visit and look forward to seeing you all. Thank you for your continued support over these 18 years in business. Now we pass it on to the next generation who will continue to shine bright for all our locals, and those who pass by.
While we are up here. We plan on running ukulele lessons. Continue our musical connections. Bringing the love for music and people. Where ever we go. Its a blessing to have this time to spend with family who We hardly get to see.
Bruce is recovering well. He is a inspiration to us. Watching him recover. Is like watching a ufc match.
We are grateful to family and friends who are in Levin. Helping our transition to Auckland, has help in so many ways.
Keep rocking and keep smiling.

We are back up Auckland. Got the son opening a few hours during the day while we are away. We ruturn this coming Monday. Yep i am bringing paul home for a few days. His dad will be in good hands while paul is back home. See you all Monday morning. The king is back

Hi team.
Short term Shop hours

Eboney here. Fantastic couple of days back at work. Got on top of customers restrings and services. Was great to be back.

I will open the shop 10am-12pm 2nd August. With the help of mum my robin for the day.

Then me and mum head up to Auckland. By the family. Bruce is recovering well. At home. He has shown such bravery and blows us all away with his courage. Thanks for all the kind words and preys. We are looking forward to spending time as a family. Paul has been a champion throughout his dads recovery. Right by his side. And also spending time with his brothers and family has brought joyful memories for all.
Thanks to technology Paul is only a video call away. Has been a great help in store. Customers have still received top service from our King of the music land.

Eboney and her star side kick Kathrine will be back in the shop. Friday 7th August.

So sorry we haven’t been around to help your musical journey or service your beloved instruments. We are up auckland supporting dad as he recovers from his surgery. He is back home and recovering well. We will keep you updated on our return. We miss you all and hope to see you all soon.
