I'm so thankful for these two humans... they are truly about community! From their nonprofit, Books on the House which provides FREE BOOKS to Charlotte residents to their amazing bookish events like BOOKPALOOZA .... their hearts, their mission, their purpose is simply one that you can't help but cheer on!

They spent MONTHS planning and organizing the bookpalooza festival.
And with all of that planning, mother nature had other plans. Kat and Jesse did not skip a beat! They revamped.. they ensured that the authors and vendors were able to protect the products that we'd spent so much time and money on creating for the guests. They pivoted beautifully. Perfectly? No. But beautifully, yes!

I for one, can't wait to see what else they'll organize and bring to the community!

And for those amazing visitors who showed up on Saturday, I'm pretty sure I speak for every author, vendor, and volunteer when we say THANK YOU!
