‼️ Prairieland zine fundraiser wrap-up ‼️
Since June, our collective has been selling zine packets to raise funds for the Prairieland defendants, who face a combined 500+ years in prison over an anti-ICE protest. The packets, curated by our friends at , consist of letter writing materials and 15 zines that prosecutors claimed were evidence of a conspiracy. We've been heartened by how many people want to support these defendants and see for themselves what the government doesn't want you to read. Having sold around 350 zine packets, we've now raised and donated $8,805!
Printing and assembling nearly 5,000 zines was a community effort, accomplished across three events with dozens of volunteers folding, stapling, and sorting. Paper cuts be damned! This project is coming to a close and we're grateful to everyone who helped to make it a success. There are a few packets left in our inventory that you can purchase, or if you want to print and distribute your own, the materials are available to download at https://cloud.firestorm.coop/s/prairieland-zines (link on product page).
The Prairieland political prisoners still need our solidarity, so keep up with their case via prairielanddefendants.com and follow + for updates. Over the coming months, they'll be litigating appeals, but their best shot at freedom is likely long-term popular pressure from outside.
Until every prison falls! Read zines! Smash fascism!
