With a heavy heart we wrap up our Lower Deschutes summer steelhead season early.
As this year’s return coughs and sputters over Bonneville, I wonder what exactly made these fish suffer so badly. Whatever it is - ocean conditions, interior conditions, sink tips or side planers - I don’t pretend to understand. But I sure hope people don’t lose interest in steelhead and the Lower Deschutes. They need friends.
