Dear Beanstalk Consignors,
In an effort to solve the problem of the jam-packed consignor appointment schedule, we are making the following changes, effectively immediately:
No shows will be charged $10 for each missed appointment. We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Money will be deducted from your account. You may cancel your appointment though your reminder email or by calling the store during business hours at (919)664-2166 to cancel. Please understand that approximately half of appointments are missed which prevents other eager consignors from finding a space. We know you don’t want to wait a year for an appointment and we don’t want you to!
No more than 3 appointments are to be scheduled by any single consignor within a year to allow space for others. Remember, you can bring as much as you want of any season to an appointment, PROVIDED it is freshly laundered and gone through to REMOVE all old (older than 5 years), stained, torn, pilled, or damaged items. NOTHING is to be brought inside out. Snaps, zippers and buttons MUST be done in advance. Clothes are to be laid flat or folded in a box or bin. Please no clothing in bags - your items get balled up and wrinkled and will be passed over if not ready to hit the racks.
Note: it is no longer necessary to divide by season. Focus your attention on bringing high quality, non-damaged items that you would be happy to buy! No special organization is needed except matching set pieces should be laid together. Organizing by gender or size DOES NOT HELP our process.
You may now bring 30 (instead of 15) SEASONALLY appropriate items Monday-Saturday 10-4 without an appointment. High end items are unlimited any time regardless of season. See the BOUTIQUE BRANDS tab at https://www.beanstalkrdu.com/boutique-brands for ideas on the sort of brands we are talking about. This should allow many of you, especially those local to the store, to skip appointments altogether. NOTE: 30 item drop offs MUST be brought in a container, which you will get back.
