Please take note of our fall hours beginning this week. The BIGGEST change is that we’ll be closed on Wednesdays. Otherwise, we’re open:
Mondays & Tuesdays, 10am - 6pm
CLOSED - Wednesdays
Thurs - Sat., 9am - 6pm
Sundays, 9am - 4pm

After recently reading (and loving!) P. Paramita’s debut novel, APPETITE, imagine my excitement when P walked into Octopus Bookshop to sign books! A story set in New Haven, CT, APPETITE is about a young Bangladeshi chef whose dreams of opening a fusion restaurant are derailed when she lets her obsession with her idol take center stage. APPETITE is a cautionary tale of fandom and parasocial relationships. This novel should come with a recipe book because there are lots of yummy food descriptions throughout. (I really must try mustard oil in my cooking). Thank you, P, for your visit and for signing some books! 🐙📚🥰

A mother and son (young man) purchased two books from Octopus Bookshop on Saturday, August 15th. The books were accidentally left at the artist market here in Kennebunk and were returned to our store. If the books are yours, please call us at (207) 467-3000 and we’ll be happy to get them to you!
