A small but essential connection point in a properly constructed White Steenbras trace.

Using a single power swivel instead of a three-way swivel also creates a simpler trace that is less likely to become trapped when fishing around foul ground.

Connect the hook line to one side of the swivel, then attach both the main line and the thinner sinker line to the opposite side. This provides direct contact with the fish while allowing the sinker line to break first if the sinker becomes stuck.

Its excellent abrasion resistance makes it well suited to fishing around sand, rocks and reef, while its dependable knot strength helps create a secure connection between the hook and swivel.

Use approximately 50 cm for the hook trace and snell it directly onto the circle hook for a strong, neat and reliable presentation.
