TEACHING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ANGLERS 🎣🌊

One of the things that matters most to me is passing on what I’ve learnt about angling, fish, the ocean and responsible fishing to the next generation.

This laaitie caught a Eagle Ray and a Smooth Hound Shark, and moments like this are about much more than catching a fish 🐟

I want young anglers to learn the right species, the right techniques and the right times to fish, while understanding how important it is to respect nature and handle our fish responsibly.

For me, this is about creating a legacy. The knowledge and trade secrets I’ve learnt through years of angling need to be passed on so that the next generation can enjoy fishing while helping to protect our fish populations and keep our sport sustainable ♻️🌊

Teach them to fish. Teach them to respect nature. Teach them to protect the future of angling 💙🎣

𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗟

A small but essential connection point in a properly constructed White Steenbras trace.

Using a single power swivel instead of a three-way swivel also creates a simpler trace that is less likely to become trapped when fishing around foul ground.

Connect the hook line to one side of the swivel, then attach both the main line and the thinner sinker line to the opposite side. This provides direct contact with the fish while allowing the sinker line to break first if the sinker becomes stuck.
